Post Your Decal Pictures here.
How about a thread where we post pictures of our decals and from what bike they belong.
I searched the board but the closest I found to a thread like this was or a specific bike, a Raleigh I believe.
I apologize for not posting any pictures myself as I am trying to find pictures of decals for my bike that I am rebuilding ( the no-brain that I am forgot to snap photos of the decals) and would like to get duplicated. Which lead me to this post. I figured if I am in need then others surely are in need as well.
So please, post pictures of head badges, models, manufacturers, material decals, etc.....basically, any decal on your bike that you care to share and give the make/model and year of the bike, if known.
Cheers,
Jake

OH IC just the decals. OK here are some Bianchi and Campi decals from various sources. the blue ones in the upper left are early '80s from a lowerend bike. the purple ones are mid '90 either a Forza or Eros. some coveted "rare" Campion del Mundo decals *giggle*, real McCoy Reparto Corse decals, MAX decals, and some Bianchi decals that look like they might fit a cannondale. I am going to use the color of the purple decals for some of the flag style Bianchi decals (I am getting Velocals to make them) for a repaint I want to do on one of my MAX frames.

Stop reading my posts!
Anyway, I have some artwork I could post if I can dig it out of computer storage.
Here are some I have on-hand...they are FS or Trade, BTW, all are on thin PSA vinyl, made by Greg Softley (some of the Allegro) or Velocal (other Allegro and the Merlin, Prugnat) from my own ™ artwork.
I will have some more, later: Ciocc decals for a San Cristobal plus "late version" Columbus SL tubing...these are homebrew water-slide decals, but came out very nicely I think.

The above bike has a 1940 hub on it.
The below has a 1949 hub and 1950 crankset.
I have some more photos of the decals, somewhere... I'll edit when I find 'em.

This is a little off topic but I have a concept for a headbadge/wordmark I need some help with. What would it take to get from a rough concept to a ready-to-go waterslide?

^ you want to draw it in a vector-based computer program such as Adobe Illustrator, save as a CMYK file and print out on good quality inkjet printer onto waterslide decal stock. The stuff I have used comes in both clear and white, it requires that you spray the printout with Krylon Chrystal Clear (acrylic spray) to set/protect the ink right after printing, then spray again after it's mounted and dried on the bike. Decal stock is just called "Inkjet/Clear" or "Inkjet/White", and was given to me by a friend who said he bought it off the internet.

Follis 072 Seat Tube Decal
One of my current projects is a Follis 072. Not only is there almost no information about this bike on the internet, but finding a source for replacement decals has been a dead end. The 072 has two decals: one is a name designation and the other is a kind of cool seat tube decal that hypes Follis' win in the Tour de Flandres. It's printed on thin metallic foil in multiple flat colors and I had to recreate the art from the original decal which I was able to remove (relatively) intact by heating and softening the adhesive with a blow dryer. What a pain THAT was! Here is the camera ready art for the decal.

how about sharing your "several online and local resources" that have decal printers?...that would be very useful information.
We know about JR (Velocals) since he's a member of this forum. He's printed PSA vinyl decals from my artwork and reportedly does waterslides and foils as well...but I'm not so sure he's encouraging custom-print orders as much as selling from his existing stock. It would be good to have a couple options for custom work.

I have a great vinyl guy close by. I am looking for a short run of high quality product. perhaps 100 pieces or so of each. I have my draft done in illustrator. It's not good enough to go to print.

I'll chime in here,
To AZORCH: I made the 072 Follis foil decal set, it's available, PM for more information.
To ftwelder: I've done plenty of custom decals from artwork made by the customer. I still offer to print from customer files one offs or multiple decals. It is a service I provide for those who want to do their own artwork. Vector artwork is preferred.
I have many years of experience printing on vinyl, water slide paper, foils and other materials. I only sell high quality products, using the best materials for each job.
If your interested, send me a PM to discuss.
