Value? 2008 Kona Kapu with Dura Ace Components
Hi guys,
I'm looking at purchasing a 2008 Kona Kapu (orange one) with some pretty slick components. Steel frame, chrome butted.
Here's the list:
Wheels/hubs- Shimano WH RS10
Shifters- Dura Ace
Crank/Rings- Dura Ace
Rear Derailleur- Dura Ace
Front Derailleur- Ultegra
Headset- Chris King
Seat post- Pazzazz 2410
Bars and Stem- Deda Speciale
Pedals- Shimano something something, can't remember
Saddle- Selle Italia something something.
The guy is asking $1400. I know these retailed for around $2500 with full ultegra in Canada, but am unsure as to whether or not this is a deal. Should I try to barter or is this guy out to lunch? Is it a good deal? The bike rides great!
Thanks in advance for any input you may have, I'll try to get some pics up later on.

FWIW, should be a comfortable ride. I would never pay full MSRP for it, though. $1400 is a good deal, overall, so I say go for it. See if you can get the original wheels, though.

It's a tradeoff for sure. Those wheels aren't even close to being as nice as the stock ones. King headset? Nice.

Great, thanks for the advice. You still think it's a good deal if I can't get the wheels?

nothing wrong with bartering.
offer him 900 - he'll respond with something like 'you're crazy - least i'd take 1200' - then offer him 1100.
you'd be surprised how often it works.
