Round vs. oval helmets (in Asia maybe?)
Hello!
First off, please don't turn this into a helmet vs. no helmet flame fest. Live and let live!
OK, now that we've gotten that out of the way, I'm looking for a high-end round helmet. Something light and fancy, like a Giro Aeon/Prolight or Specialized Prevail. Bells fit me but I don't like any of their models. Specialized used to fit, but I tried the new Prevail and it was more oval than my old one; with a bare head, the new Specialized shape slightly pressed against my temples and reminded me of Giro helmets that really pressed against my temples. I can't size up since I have a 60cm head and thus have to use the largest size already. In addition, I usually have a cycling cap on so a little extra space is appreciated.
My question is, are there any other brands that fit like a Bell? Lazer, Uvex, Limar, LAS?
I (used to) ride motorcycles and even though people say there are those with Arai heads (oval) and others with Shoei heads (round), I've found that in Asia, the Arai helmets actually fit like Shoeis, presumably because Asian tend to have roundish heads. In fact, my US Shoei and Asian Arai fit almost exactly the same. So, does any helmet brand work this way too? Does Specialized or Giro have a rounder version that they sell elsewhere other than in the US?

This explains why I don't like the fit of Shoei and Giro...I'm not a round head.
Thanks, now I need to buy a Bell.

They will look horrible on a 60 head because they aren't deep enough. Bell and Giro are your best bets. I've gone around and tried pretty much all the brands. BTW, my head size is 61, FWIW. I have a Giro Prolight that fit me really well, and another Bell Volt that I also like to wear from time to time. Both look decent, according to my wife, on my big round head, no cone head effect.
