Valeo Weightlifting gloves, because I already had them when I started riding, and I haven't found anything yet that feels any better at any price.

i have some valeo weight lifting gloves. they're great when you don't need fingers.
if you need fingers:
pow ozone pipe gloves
leather palm and fingers, mesh poly sueded upper that breathes but is tough and absorbant.
ten bucks on sale after snow season and they're great.

Pryme Have a Nice Day gloves; ironically my wife saw these before I did and had them shipped to me as a surprise. I used to wear mechanix gloves before these.
EDIT: only for those cold days; where I usually wear a ninja like mouth mask as well.

I rock the Izumi Select gloves in warm weather. Warm weather to me is 60 degrees and up.
I am all about cloth tape and these guys give me a little bit of padding. And next time I eat ****, at least my palms won't get scratched up.
