Just Another Red De Rosa Primato
If you are a Philistine Taiwanese commuter fan, you might want to look away, as this will have the same effect on you as the Ark in an Indiana Jones Movie 
It has a few scratches, but it looks amazing in person; the photos aren't really doing the vibrant red justice. I might go to a tubular with a gum wall side, but I had these around...so it made sense to use them. Replaced the stem with something more appropriate and might have to replace the 175 cranks as well - we'll see. The cassette might also have to change as this seems geared for Contador.
Please note the cats are very much alive, so I did not swing them at my bike.

56, same as my Marnati. I've been skewing larger since riding it. He was right - I'm more comfy on a bigger bike. I changed stem and saddle positions on my normal 54 and 55s and got rid of my 53s.
My Miyata is still small @ 52 and it might be a victim soon.

Listen rookie, every bike snob knows that when you buy matching bottles, you line up the logos so you can see them. Drive side crank arm should be aligned with the down tube, and valve stems at 6 o'clock. Never mind about the tape matching the saddle.
Geesh.
PS-- Stick with the black tires. I tried gumwalls on my red Primato, didn't look right. GP4000's are pretty darn nice tubies, can't go wrong.
PPS--I have a 13-26 Record 8 speed cassette BNIB, just give me your address.
PPPS--I doubt you'll be able to tell the difference between 175 and 172.5, or even 170 cranks. If you don't like them, I have some 170 Athena 8 speed, but they require a wider BB. You can use 10 speed cranks, you would just need a spacer kit available at Branford. 10 speed cranks may be easier to find.

I'm happy for you, as I know how much you wanted that pretty bike.
I haven't chatted with you in a few days, but I was only going to give you one recommendation about the bike.
Get her out on some nice winding country roads and really take her up to speed.
Don't turn around for home until you've had a real chance to put her though her paces.
That's how you'll really start bonding with that keepsake.
Enjoy her my friend.

Dolce far niente
The GP 4000's are seriously good clinchers. Here's my latest thinking about tubulars..... Do It. I have the Vittoria Corsa clinchers on all my bikes, love love love them. Fantastic clincher, the best I've ridden so far. But............ I got my hands on a NOS set of Campagnolo Victory Strada tubular rims laced to Record hubs, so I figured what the heck. I glued up a set of the same tire - Vittoria Corsa - except the tubular version. Wow. Just wow. I've got about 100 miles on them so far. They are just fantasic, that is really what I think....
Yeah - the chrome lugs and flat fork crown mitigates the fact that it's red. Nice Bike.
