Where do you get your GP4000s?
LBS has them for $150 a pair, plus 9.5 % sales tax. 
I asked Google and saw a range of prices from a lot of sites. I'm not sure which are reputable, etc. Where can you recommend, in the US, and excluding ebay?

Tires are one of the items I will happily pay a $25 bricks-and-mortar premium for -- it supports the LBS, and they usually mount them for free, which doesn't save you $25 worth of time, but saves you something.

For people in the US who buy them from UK sites, what's that like? Longer delivery time? Do you have to pay import taxes or anything?

my wiggle order came in 10 days...no extra taxes. $91.55 for a pair of GP4000 (700x25 reflex) and a pair of Conti tubes.

Right now PBK is selling tires with tubes for the same price as tires by themselves. Not as good a deal as they sometimes run, but still pretty cheap compared to the prices at the LBS. I'm waiting for them to get down below $35 so I can stock back up. My current set has almost 5K miles and while I haven't had a flat in all that time, they're starting to flatten down and get hairline cracks in the rubber. Hopefully when the riding season winds down, they'll go back on super sale.

PBK when they have a sale. No tax, no shipping, no customs duty. About a week for me on the East Coast.
I try and support the LBSs in my town. There are 4 and 2 of them are really pretty good. But it's hard for me to pay the premium on tires. Tubes, gloves, cables, chains, CO2 and most tools I buy from them.

Personally? I buy them from Continental USA direct. I sell to team for near cost. For anyone else - if I can't work them in on a deal for wheels then you're almost always better off buying from the UK. The US wholesale/distribution setup is totally out of whack at this point. Go buy them where you can get a good price. Hopefully at some point the system will catch up and realize these places sell at these prices because that's what the real market value of these goods are. If we all sold in the $30-$40 range for nice tires then everyone would be buying locally. Period.

I bought them off Amazon, $98 for a pair. I couldn't find them on sale at the time, and that was the fastest option for me.

It's ALL base...
It's probably annoying to hear this again, but it really does pay to buy them when they're on sale and stock up. Unless you're a flavor-of-the-month tire buyer, you'll always use them, and they're not going to get any cheaper. I'm set for the foreseeable future on tires and tubes.
PBK has always been my source- prices (can be) really good, shipping is reasonably quick, and service is good.

I'll probably get a new front tire at LBS this week. Mine is getting pretty worn. I can still see the indicators, and they make it look like I should have around 500 miles left in the tire, but I got a flat in the front tire each of the last two times I rode. Couldn't find any bits of glass or anything to stop me. It's getting tiresome.
I hate changing my tubes and tires. I mean, I know how to do it, and it's a pretty quick job. I just don't like doing it. But I don't hate it $70 worth. It's $87 for two tires at Ribble. Better to stock up so I don't have to worry about it next time.

LBS sold me a pair for $55 each last time around, because they had an ugly color (gray or maybe drab olive green) that nobody wanted to buy. I'd rather have black, which supposedly last longer, but may see if they have any more fugly ones in the meantime.

I just ordered some from PBK at almost midnight on the 24th. They were here by noon on the 29th.....from England.....England.....in four days. I can't get stuff that fast from Amazon processing centers 100mi away.
