Doing PBP on a Brompton
Just like to say how impressed I am with both my fellow Norwegian Robert and his little Brompton for completing Paris Brest Paris in under 90 hours. It was not modified except for straight bars with barends.

can we see more details of this somewhere ? Has anyone done this before (a) on a folder (b) on a brompton - if not, a momentous day in the history of the fold...

It was his fifth PBP so he wanted to do it a bit differently this time. He looked quite fresh coming in but said he had only slept a couple of hours because keeping the Brompton going at higher speeds on the flats was very difficult. He had problems staying with groups and had done a lot of the ride alone. I did not have my camera with me but will post some pics when I get some.

I chatted with him before the start and was impressed by the dramatic modifications required for PBP (a couple of bidon cages ziptied on).
Tal Katzir rode his Brompton round PBP07, Mille Miglia 08 and London-Edinburgh-London 09 but chose a big bike for PBP11. An Italian rode LEL01 on a Brompton but I can't recall his name offhand.
