Mirage Sport @ 399.95 at bikesdirect.com with similar components. Free shipping. Better deal?
Excellent bike to get around town!

The Vent Noir has the added plus of CF forks and possibly lighter frame? The bike on Craigslist would be good for that price since you would pay $799. for a new one. Whether you buy a Vent Noir from Craigslist or BD, have your LBS give it a check over.
I ride the Mirage Sport. It's a heavy bike but it will get you around and has a good range of gears. At about 24 pounds, many here would consider it a boat anchor but since I plan to load about 15 to 20 pounds of gear on any of my bikes, weight is not a big worry for me.

PS: If you go for the Mirage Sport instead, make sure you switch out the saddle for something better or smoother finish! The stock saddle has stitching on the top and after 20 miles, it feels like the stiching is cutting into your butt!
