cassette noise
I am getting a lot of noise from my cassette (8 speed) in the smallest 3 cogs. I changed the cassette and the same problem. What should I try? It shifts properly into all gears.I have a triple crank

It just sounds like the chain is running roughly in the smaller cogs, nothing I can see is rubbing. On old and new cassette the largest 5 cogs all sound smooth. Could it be cable or angle adjustment?

New cassette, same noise, I'd check the chain. A stretched chain can run noisier on a sprocket, and the effect will be greater on the smaller sprockets because there's less tooth engagement. Your chain may not be near the replacement point, but still be noisier. Besides checking for stretch, use a nail or pen point to push the rollers around and check for slop. New chains have some but if you can move the rollers about 1/32" or more that's comparable to a chain stretched about 1/16" over 12" (the typical chain replacement point).
Also, please forgive the blatant self-serving comment that follows, and consider the source, but your choice of chain lube can make a huge difference. If you've been using the same stuff for a while, and the chain is now noisier, it might be that the original factory lube is gone, and you're now dependent of something not as good at keeping the chain running quietly.
