Old Fart Roll Call
Stumbled over here after a long time away and got to wondering who might be left from the old days, let's say anyone from before 2005.
Would you mind posting "here".
We can sit around and talk about how great it was and how these kids today don't have a clue, certainly not like we did when the millennium was new.

This is probably the only thing worth remembering:
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...hate-everybody
i hate everybody...
including this guy:
from today's FGG
i thought taking a picture of yourself giving the finger wasn't cool anymore, but i guess if you do it with both hands, it's like double negatives. speaking of things that aren't cool, i ****ing hate people trackstanding in their FGG picture. okay, you can trackstand. good for you, you've clearly ridden your bike for at least a month. tool.
nathan fabian, if you're on these bikeforums, it's nothing personal. i just think your fgg submission is ******y and makes you look like an enormous tool.
okay, i'm cranky today.

Got my first track bike in 1964, when I was 13. Can I play?

I think Mayonnaise is looking for people who were on BikeForums before 2005.
There aren't that many people left in the SSFG forum from back then. Most got pissed and left because they couldn't post free-for-all stupid stuff here. Many started either new forums (Tarckbike) or started regional/city forums.

I'm still pop in regulalry, but don't post much anymore.
Carleton is correct...the natty fab is the only thing worth remembering since 2005, along with the r600duraace threads in the road forum.

i turned 29 today.
and i do miss the r600durace post in road.
but yeah, i didnt shop up to 2006
that's when i was in florida, by myself, lonely, and hand sewing a messenger bag to ride home to alabama with
and living in a self storage unit and saving up for a bikesdirect bike instead of buying a car.
so it was talking to a bunch of you guys to deal with boredom

I still have your book and read it often. I do kinda miss the old days of SSFG.

If I leave my house and head south I'm in the forest preserve in 30 min. In 45 min. I'm in cornfields and rolling hills. It's so down-home out there that the postman drives his pick-up from the passenger side to deliver his mail.
Seems like you always hear talk about some crap happening on the Judson ride...But not heading south out of Yankee Woods, where the world is your own

The OP was not concerned with your age but the folks who posted here before 06.

I had a copy of the book. I'd forgotten about the Natty Fab pic. It's still funny.
