anime themed jersey?
im thinking of getting my 1st jersey but i want it to be special. lolz. so i decided i want an anime themed jersey. if im gonna wear spandex, might as well go all out since it's not gonna be a regular thing for me.
google gave me 2 things...
https://www.bikingthings.com/hotanbijehot.html
- on this it says full digital sublimation. is that good? will the design last long?
https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...cycling-jersey
- this one comes in long sleeves which is a plus for me but way more pricey.
anybody else have ideas? websites to check out?
thanks.

Also, most jerseys nowadays are not made out of spandex. Just sayin'.
Also, if you're an anime fan, do look up the Nasu series, in particular A Summer in Andalusia.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would want cartoon porn on their shirt while riding a bike.
I mean hey whatever you're into; you know, in your basement or whatever, but advertising that? *scratches head*

It's Japanese for 'animation,' and is used as a catch-all term to cover all animation from Japan.
I noticed that too. There's a ton of more family-friendly options the OP can choose from, which is why I'd suggest something from Eclipse Cycling or one of the many custom jersey places on the internet.

I just missed the part on the 1st link that you can customize your own image of choice.
That seems like a sweet deal for 98$ no?
I'll check out voler and those other sites as well.
Thanks.

If you're going to do it, OP, don't go all otaku with the imagery, especially with an anime you've never seen: it might look cute, but the show itself could be weird beyond comprehension. (The Japanese make awesome components, but they also thought up on tentacle porn and exploding heads in graphic detail.)
As a former anime fan, my suggestion would be to go with what you know and be a bit subtle about it. For example, if you're a DBZ fan, instead of getting a jersey with the characters plastered all over it, just make your jersey a replica of the gi that your favorite character wears.

If you wear the squid-girl one, folks might think you're a pedofile ikka! I add my voice to the "make your own" crowd. If I were doing so, I'd go with something not so... cleavagey... as your first pick.
What is your favorite anime, or at least anime genre? You should pick something from that. Other than that, since this is for cycling, a shirt themed from the Overdrive anime series, or one of the Nasu movies, would be a clear choice! You should get extra points for wearing a jersey with a picture of an anime cyclist wearing a jersey!
Edit: Oh, and Nasu: Summer in Andalusia is a good anime movie for fans of bicycle racing to watch. It covers the complexities and teamwork of road cycle racing quite well.
Edit edit: To the poster who posted below me while I was fiddling with my post , I agree with "subtle!" It would probably not be a great idea to have your jersey made into a... above average proportions... scantily clad torso of a female anime figure, for example...

That's good idea. I just have to find that balance between subtle and still recognizable.
Thanks.

I'm going to go with this being the creepiest thread of the year. How old are you, because nothing says free candy and puppies like a guy in his 40's riding around with cartoon porn on his back.

Like the first choice better then the 2nd, I would ditch the 2nd design, it sort of lets out a "Pedo" fee to me.
I still think you should get another pair of bibs/shorts over a jersey...

Really?
I'd like to see a team kit with a Power Ranger theme.
