EH...just sounds like someones trying to boost their confidence. All depends on background, training, route, etc. Any pure cyclist can avg 20 mph for 30 miles on a flat road no issues. In the same way, for a runner a 19 min 5k is a cakewalk (i was doing that in high school). All depends on the details...

Yeah,I was running 49 second 400m at school as well, and 10 back flips in a row,but that was then.I'm 40 years old now so I think it's still pretty good.I'm still up with the fast cycle group, and decent road runners a lot younger than me

19 minute 5k for sure but i don't think you needed any of us to remind you how much better your run is than your bike. Get up to 23-24 mph on the bike and we'll call it even, and you a well rounded triathlete, not a runner who rides a bike.

Ok thanks. So I'm better at running than on a bike.I forgot to mention because of a back problem I cannot have my bike fit how it should be - namely saddle set back and height,so I have to lower it and push the seat back a bit,so that might be affecting my performance, andwith the running I now have a nagging stiff left achillies tendonitis that won't go away
