Picked up a Spot Acme

I found a really good price on a 62cm Spot Acme still in the box so decided to ditch my Rockhopper with hybrid tires I was using for urban duty and pick this thing up. Fantastic bike!!! I love the raw aluminum frame and the welds are just art. Belt drive is dead silent and so far stood up to my testing of cranking it standing up a few long hills. The 11 speed internally geared hub is nice and smooth as well. Comfy bike as well.....at 6'7" this is about as close as I can come to getting something to fit me. Here's some pics I snapped at my flat and riding around my hood here in Durham, NC.

Very nice! Not much seatpost showing, so it must fit you pretty good. I do look forward to owning a belt drive Alfine someday.

Beautiful.

The Acme was high on my list, weren't yet available. I ended up getting a Reliegh Cadent i11 because of the deal.

Did 30 miles on it yesterday to give it a real shakedown. Plenty of hills too and that belt drive just works beautifully. Silent and smooth.

I do suspect thats not actually 'raw aluminum', rather its a bright silver paint under clearcoat, same as my 2001 Stumpjumper. I *thought* it was raw polished aluminum, until I chipped the paint by accident.

Where is the rear triangle opening to get the belt through?

Looks to me like it's right by the seat stay bridge.

Yup, it's a solid piece held in there by 2 bolts. Seems quite a bit more solid design than some others that have cutouts down low where the wheels attach.
