Cold weather gear needed: gloves, goggles
So, it's below freezing temps during my 5am commute already. I need to get some gloves and I'd like to get some kind of anti fog goggles.
I need the goggles to fit with my helmet (Bell Faction) and over my glasses.
I wear a balaclava, but it causes my glasses to fog up. Goggles should help this.
Any suggestions? Was thinking like snowboard goggles/helmet would work

Riding with ski/snow goggles isn't the best idea in traffic. You'll lose a good portion of your periphery vision and won't see that snowplow coming. Plus, the vents tend to get blocked by a baklava, they're meant to have air flowing over them to keep the condensation down. You can get anti-fog for your glasses, something like cat crap - https://www.amazon.com/Ek-123625-Cat-.../dp/B002ZNA488 . But even that won't stop the fogging under the goggles.
I used to ski alot, I hated using goggles with my glasses due to the issues related to fogging. The only time I bothered with goggles is if it was REALLY COLD or they had the snow guns going on the mountain.

Try some basic windproof fleece gloves like from REI or EMS here in the Boston MA area.

+1 The best fleece gloves I've used are Northface Windstopper gloves, but I don't think Northface makes them any longer. I've had mine forever. I've seen the same style of glove, but they are no where as nicely insulated.

I just ordered these off of eBarf. They haven't arrive yet.
I'm pretty sure they will handle the brutal Georgia winters. I read the winter threads and look for tsl's posts. When he says I use ProductX until it gets X degrees, that item will do me fine all winter.

Are you covering your mouth with the balaclava when you ride? I wear a balaclava also and wear glasses too. But I don't cover up my mouth or nose until it gets really cold out. Like 10 degrees or so.
I wear Visorgogs over my glasses. They're kinda dorky looking. But I like them and they are cheap. But they do frost up below 15f. The only thing is the ultra violet rays will fade out the lens after two or three years. I buy three at a time. For extreme cold I wear a double lens snow goggle. I have those on when I need to cover up my face. It's true that your peripheral vision is limited with snow goggles, but thats just the way it is. I use a helmet mirror so thats really not an issue.

34 degrees this morning and I got a chance to use my Cold Avenger mask for the first time.
It worked as advertised. Face was warm, kept my glasses from fogging (mostly), and didn't restrict my breathing. I have had great success with a light application of dish soap to keep goggles and glasses from fogging.

25 F here in Anchorage Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. Used a set of Army surplus arctic mittens. The ones with the snap in wool liner, green cuffs, leather hand portion with furry backs. They were almost too much as my hands sweated a bit. Can't answer for face coverings as it isn't cold enough yet for me to cover more than my ears.

I have the PI lobster mitts and for me they're no good below about 28f. I use full-hand ski/outdoor mitts below that - shifting's a bit awkward but doable, and unlike with poagies at least I can take my hand off the bars to signal.
People seem to differ wildly when it comes to temperature tolerance.
As for the eyes, I only fog up my clear glasses when I stop at lights, and it soon clears when I get going. Sometimes I just ride with the bala and no eye-cover, even in real cold temps. I think ski gogs are the answer if you're having issues here.

XC ski gloves are great for me.
I use the models from "lill sport"
https://www.lillsport.com/page.php?idd=16
specifically the ones on this page: Superrace 0105 and got them in all black instead of with the rainbow stuff for 299SEK

I use those cheap brown cotton jersey gloves, the insulated ones, that you see in convenience stores for about $2 and something cents. They are good to about 25f or so. after that I switch to Loki convertible mittens. They'll handle anything my area has to offer.
