You'll be happy to recognize that winter is half gone . . . two months down, two to go.

Casually Deliberate
No Home Depot date night. Battery is dead again and I lack the motivation to call roadside assistance again. I need to break down and buy a new battery is all. Luckily, no need to drive anywhere till Monday and even then it's just to Mom's to put the garbage out and even then I could get there by bike if I had/wanted to.

First page!
Just finished 2 hours worth of maintenance on the bike! My chain is silver again! Also happy I gave it a once over, had about 4 wear patches on the back tire...rear gp4000S made it just over 2000 miles, not bad, I guess.

There's this local fund raiser up here in early March, I'll be doing duets with 3-4 different performers, all of whom have local street cred. So it would appear my attempts to crawl out of the primordial open mic ooze are getting traction. Very excited to be making music with people who are becoming good friends. I was hoping that a little gig exposure would lead to this, and so it has.

My reasoning was that since I had/have never had an abnormal mammogram I was at very low risk of having it. But an even bigger reason was that if my results were positive they would still not have tested my daughter or done anything proactive on her behalf until she turned 18. She was 15 at the time and I didn't want that hanging over her head for three years. Luckily for everyone concerned, my sister proved to be negative for the gene and her developing breast cancer at 38 really was just an unfortunate fluke.
uuuugh.
anyway. this also just all reminds me that life is way too short to be unhappy.

Paging Velo Vol.
I hope the medication regimen hasn't done you some harm. Check in and let us know you are OK or otherwise.
Geez, 2014 was supposed to be an improvement over 2013. What happened to change the paradigm?

I wonder if I can get crowd funding for my Face Palm App? In the meantime I will continue to embrace The Slouch.
