Can't find a $2.50 part I need

Hello,

Just got another bike and want to attach a Topeak Road Morph pump to the down tube next to a water bottle. The problem is that the mount that comes with the pump is solely for the top tube. In the past, I've purchased a simple plastic pump mount from Performance (same screws are used for the pump mount and the bottle holder) and my problem was solved. To my dismay, Performance stopped carrying the mount.

Is anyone aware of a site that I can purchase one of these things?

Thank you.

Topeak used to list that mount on their website as a separate item. It's gone now.

You may not be able to find one specifically made for Topeak but you can use the Lezyne bracket or the Crank Brother's bracket. Search for "bicycle pump mounting bracket" for other ideas.

Q; can you accept something less narrowly specific ? ' twofish' makes velcro straps and molded rubber bits to tie 2 tube shaped things to each other..

Attach rubber O-rings under the two screws of your water bottle. The O-rings should be just big enough to slip the pump through. Find them at a plumbing-supply, or auto-parts store. They are a couple of mm thick, and about the size of a quarter.

slide the pump in. It will be held firmly in place, in the V of the tube and the water bottle cage.

This is a weight-weenie thing, for the lowest possible weight pump-holder... But it works great, even for non-weenies.

I just took a pic. My O-rings came from a light-mount, so they have the little tabs on them, but a regular O-ring would do the job just as well.

It's still on Todson's web page. (Todson is the U.S. distributor for Topeak.)

Humph. Dagnabit, it was missing a couple months ago. I guess I'll buy a bunch- the Road Morph is my favorite pump and I have 3 on different bikes.
