Diamant Bike Knowledge
Diamant message
Not sure how this works as first time on a 'forum' - but needed some collective wisdom to assist with the restoration of a Diamant bike I have been riding for years but now needs restoration.
it has a mix of gear but mainly old shimano 105. Main questions are:
does anyone recognise the frame type as I think it could be Reynolds or Oria GM tubing?
does anyone know if the decals are original or added later and if not original where I can find some?
can anyone recommend a seat post, seat and handlebar stem that would suit the restoration?
does anyone have any views about original colours - I could go for black and gold again but would like to find original colours if poss and if not perhaps go for something a bit brighter - perhaps cobalt blue?
That's enough for now - hope collective wisdom wins through
Cheers

Diamant back in the day could have been built from low end all the way to modestly high. Diamant today is now owned by Trek. Without pictures we can't tell anything (at least I can't see pictures)
