One caution: the orientation of the crank arms on new Sugino triples is different than that of the AT so new large Sugino chainings with the anti-drop pin won't line up correctly with the crank arm (the pin is supposed to be right behind the crank arm.) Not a huge deal but just so ya know. I encountered this and ended up getting some Surley steel chainrings; not ramped and all that but work fine in my setup.

How "off" is the pin? I'm curious as to if it's a few inches or a few cm?

See how the crank arm is between the spider arms on the AT but directly above one of them in the newer version? So the pin ends up being 36º ahead of or behind the crank arm. It faces inwards so it's not visible but I don't know, I guess I was worried about it catching on my sock or something.
Scratch that, it does face outward. How would it work otherwise? Duh.

It's about 56mm off. Here's a hastily-photoshopped rendition of the AT on the left and a newer Sugino triple on the right:

Perhaps I can re-pin it? Will have to look into the likelihood of doing so.
I had thought about going with a new XD2 but I just couldn't afford it....sadly even doing the AT will be pricey, even though I got a good deal on a set of arms.

Well that takes care of a 36,... so now I'll change it up and will only need a 46 (or 48) and a 24.

What do you guys think?...I think this FSA chainring will work on Sugino AT crank arms and looks like the anti-drop pin is right where it should be for the Sugino AT arms???
They ARE black, but other than that, I think they'd work fine? (I can't seem to find out if they're made in just silver?)

Those should work. Note that the 38t and 36t are listed as inner rings for a double, so they won't have the ramps and pins to aid shifting to and from a granny ring. Not a problem for those of us who know how to shift with a little finesse, though.

Hmmm,... thanks for the heads up,.. I think in my excitement I failed to notice that. I like the added insurance or, aide, if need be of having those ramps and pins though,...I'm sure I'd be fine without them, but,...hmmm,... I'll have to think about it. Maybe I'll just do like you did,... just go with new Suginos that do have the ramps and pins, then just take out the anti-drop pin on the 48T outside ring? If I ever feel the need for added insurance in that area (the area of the chain flying off), I suppose I "could" get a chainring shield???

In case you're still looking... Treetop ? Willow Chainrings
Might not have the exact size you're after though.
