Just won this 1983 Lotus Odyssey at an estate sale auction. Whoever owned it strangely outfitted it with some oddball components. Has French Ideale saddle and TA Specialties triple crankset, also has...

I have this exact bike and it is probably my favorite bike I own. Bianchi really nailed it with these late 80s/early 90s CX bikes. The Suntour Command shifters are worth half the asking price alone....

Ah, good catch, I missed that response.

If anyone does have any more info on this bike I'd love to hear it. I read the same stuff about it being an Alaskan, but Google really returns nothing about...

According to what I'm finding in my research for another bike that looks identical, that's not a Grizzly. Looks like it sold anyways.

What about the two above listed for $675 each?

I actually picked up an '87 Cimarron in good shape yesterday for $150. I know for a fact that if I didn't get it, someone else was going to pay $200....

Here's a pretty good example for what that Crossroads could be. For half the price, I think you're doing much better there. I'm still a sucker for a lugged frame, so if I'm looking for a vintage bike...

That wouldn't be the bike I would look for. At least in my area, which is rural, Multitracks commonly pop up for $75-100 with an hour or two, even as low as $50. I even picked up a lugged 790 for...

Was able to get the serial number - 0241659. According to the database, it appears this is an 18" 1986 Trek 500 which was inexplicably made to look like a ~94 Trek Multitrack with grip shifters. If...

This is a real mystery to me. They are calling it a Trek 11, which I'm pretty certain never existed, but I can't figure out exactly what it was either. Grip shifters + cable stops on the down tube....

I wouldn't hesitate to get a bike with a freewheel (7 SPD freewheels are very readily available from Shimano amd other companies) and especially not one with a lugged frame. Not only can you find...

Yes, good catch. Fortunately 26.8 isn't a thing (I don't think at least) so when I inevitably screw it up it shouldn't burn me too bad :)
