86.9 miles.
was going for 80, but the orange barrel monsters redirected path, thru some sketch areas.
Think I experienced a record distance residential sprinkler head. Had to have an assisted pump to go at least 50'. Nailed me right in the leg & crank. %$#@*@ #&%@#%!

Was going to say something tasteless about if a certain body part mentioned above was not damp at the end of a ride, I didn’t ride hard enough. But I won’t, or almost won’t.

Good mountain bike ride. Isn’t the off road miles equal to twice road miles. Anyway 3 laps for 21 miles. The first two set personal records. The third played with my $40 cheapie action camera. Stabilization is not very good but made a few videos for my 85 year old dad who does not ride anymore.
And body is much less sore on a FS bike.

Short but sweat-y. Since I rode up and down the hill 2X, all the climbing was done in about 5.75 miles.

Warm, dry and sunny 40 mile road ride. That must equal 20 miles of single track. A little wind to push through from the start.
Work and thunderstorms tomorrow so a rest day.

Feels good to get back on a bike, got in 18 today on the trainer. 10 days ago I decided I was going to go for a jog, decided to take the dog with me, oh look squirrel. I trip over him, fall and hit my head on the sidewalk. Ended up having a slight concussion, was dizzy, felt like I was going to puke. Neighbor of the house I was in front of, saw it, ran out to help, luckily I had not gotten that far, she ran down to my house and got my wife who is a nurse. They both help me up and get me home, and my wife runs me to the mini ER down the road. Said everything looks ok, no bleeding, no swelling, just need to take it easy for a few days. I got on the trainer last Thursday to see how things are going and after 5 mins, really light effort and I got really dizzy. Felt pretty good today, no dizziness or weirdness, so I figure I will continue with the trainer for a few more days and make sure everything continues in a positive way.

I got soaked yesterday but weather did say thunderstorms all day. they were mostly correct unfortunately. I did set out to do at least 80 miles but I bailed early as winds were picking up and miles of puddles were loosing their fun factor.

More riding on the gravel bike. I actually wanted to get the road bike out for a long ride on the passes, but the Ultegra crank has finally bit the dust on that bike.

Very crappy weather here today. I wanted to go out and try the new stem length, but I hate leaving in the rain, I don't care if I get caught in it, but hate being wet immediately. When the sun did come out, the humidity was oppressive, so I decided to stay inside in the AC. Got in 27 and 1800 ft of climbing. Going to try and get out tomorrow, supposed to be fairly dry tomorrow.
Happy fathers day to all the dads.

Very similar here is North Florida. I just took the dog for a walk before it starts raining again and I need a shower.

Did my first post op ride of a whopping 26 miles with 1500’ of climbing. The doc told me to back off if my finger started throbbing, but it was fine. The temperature was a whopping 59* with a bit of sprinkles. When done had a Smore cookie and petted a puppy. Life was good. (Yesterday was spent at the ER with my wife who had severe back problems. Always amazing what a time suck a trip to the hospital takes. By the time we had her meds it was 4.5 hours, but the place was slammed. She is much better today but has a way to go.). And yes, a cycling glove was sacrificed for the ride.

no kidding about the time suck & medical facilities. Many years ago I had a severe back pain event crop up. Went to the ER, sat for a few hours in pain since as long as I could evidently be mobile under my own power & "talk" in between the cold sweats, I was deemed not urgent. After the long night, some pokes with jabs, a scan the result was that I was giving birth to stones.
Now when that pain crops up, I wait it out in the discomfort of my own home. Costs less, I can check in or out when ever, & the coffee is much better. Staff could be better at times.....
wishing her a speedy recovery!

81.9 miles windy and cool and a few sprinkles. One flat at 33 miles so had a soft rear tire for 49 miles..funny thing while fixing the flat on the side of the road several bikes passed by all kitted out and not one of them even slowed down. Only person to stop was an old guy in a beat up truck stopped and asked me if I was ok and if I had tools. Told him I was good but thanked him for checking.
