Derailleur hanger removal...need help please

I removed a Sprint front dérailleur and this is what is holding it on. I need to know how to take this hanger off.

I see that I managed to put this in the wrong forum. Sorry. I wanted it in the Classic vintage forum. If a moderator could move it there I would appreciate it.

Thank you
Steve

You probably want the Bicycle Mechanics forum. I bet they could figure it out. I can't tell from the photo how it comes off. Unless you want to cut it off.

Show us a picture of the other side. It's got to come off somehow.

This is an ”endless” type band clamp, take a peek inside the post for a clue as to how this clamp is installed and removed.

There's a phillips threaded center of that protruding bolt. It will screw off. If it is stuck, you can grip it carefully with a pair of vise grips and turn it off. Realize when using a vise grips, you will be damaging the outer threads, so be careful if you go that way.

Wow!! pretty clever, a philips head. I could not get it to turn either way. Should I spray it with something to loosen it up?
Thanks
Steve

If I resort to vice grips I will put a rag on it.

A tap with a hammer, some WD 40 and it came right off. Thank you all.
That was fun
