Anyone done nasty things to your bike while it's parked outside?

My QR's don't lock. I mean, they "lock", holding the wheel in, but they don't have any way to prevent anyone undoing them while I'm not looking and walking off with them. Not the wheel itself, mind, as I do lock that to the frame or to something else or to both - just the QR skewers.

I've heard that lights get stolen off bikes all the time in Manhattan.

Yeah, I figured that's what you meant. I do lock my wheels, as I mentioned, but I'm still wondering if one day I'll get pranked by someone who walks off with the skewer itself out of spite.
Suppose I should get actual bolt-on hubs for any replacement rims.

Damn, all this makes me fearful of leaving any $1k+ bike outside especially with accessories like lights and bags. And if anyone fails to steal it they'll get mad and wreck it. It's a real lose-lose.
