Just to clarify the timeline, I assume you mean Thanksgiving 2012? Not sure whether American Thanksgiving has happened yet for 2013 and Canadian Thanksgiving 2013 was last month. Are we talking about a year or so?
Yes, 2012. I could have taken it off quicker but I'm adding muscle along the way. If I had just focused on the number I could could have already been there. I am happy that the direction I am taking is strong and I can go to where I need to be.

Not kidding
When I was stuck at a certain weight I did this and I would start to loose the weight again. It's like the extra callories kick started my metabolism.
I have done this twice since I went on this weight loss endevour and it worked both times.

Do you think you were too far under on your calories and that's what caused the issue?

If you find a short cut to dropping the last 20 I bet it's going to return with a vengeance.
+1. the lower I go, the same number of lbs is hard to lose. ever watch Biggest Loser? Week 1, those people are shedding big numbers. By Week 3, it is not so easy. Maybe look at %body weight lost. Like 10% weight loss is different absolute amount for 300 lbs than a 200 lb person. ie. 30 lbs vs 20 lbs. but when you get below 200 lbs, even the absolute amounts are pretty close, eg. 10% of 210 is only 2 lbs different than 10% of 190, etc. but for sure, going from 220 to 210 is easier than from 190 to 180. maybe it takes the same effort to go from 190 to 185 as it did for 220-210. I dunno. I'm sure someone has worked this out. ?? if you could quantify "effort" . . . whatever that means. mental pain, I guess. It hurts, anyway.

WM I always tried to be around the caloric intake she had figured out for me (which I think was 1800 calories a day).
I first mentioned this to her when I was about 2 months into the weight reduction and for about a week and a half I didn't lose any weight despite all the exersizing I was doing and that's when she told me to give my metabolism a 5000 calorie shock.
and then I started to lose weight again.

To me it sounds odd but if worked for you it was genius! I wonder what a prolonged two month, 5000 cal a day shock would do for you? It would probably make you too thin!
