Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I was thinking so too, I saw that ad up months ago for 500ish i think. Pretty sure the parts alone are worth it but I'm too lazy to drive up there haha.

Yeah if I was in the area I might scoop it up for the parts and then flip what I don't need for a pretty sweet profit

Here's another one for you. Not sure if it's real or not, but if it is, then it's a good deal.

Bianchi 2012 Pista Dalmine

And this (for a taller rider):

LOL I remember seeing that photo as a kid in the Guinness book of world records at my school library. Even at age 7 my first thought was, "Oh those poor bikes..."

Yep, same here! Every few years I would order the small paperback version of it through our school's book club....that photo seemed to be in every version. haha Just one of those photos you never forget.

I like this, even with the crash disclosure (which I appreciate, as not every seller would have disclosed). But was the frame/fork actually bent, or did it have toe overlap (which the seller conflates with pedal strike) to begin with?

Are there 48cm bikes that don't have toe overlap?

Fork looks a little bent to me.

I have toe overlap on most of the 53s and 54s I've owned, and I run my cleats a little forward.

Toe overlap isn't the worst thing about a bent fork. It probably also feels like ****/wants to veer to one side.
