Yes; when I find the right donor bike or can't-resist deal on 7400 gruppo, I might just take the Croce d'Aune stuff off my Corsa Extra and put it on the shelf for awhile.

That bike wouldn't happen to have a a name "Kristen" etched on it?

'81 (or so) Merckx.
Campy 9speed Racing Triple

Phil Wood BB
Mirage hubs laced to Mavic Open Pro rims with db spokes. My fourth set of wheels I've built, and the best so far.

Not mine, but a couple I see all the time in downtown San Francisco being used by the bike messenger crowd...

All put together and took it for my first ride.
Very smooth, feels light underneath, and the Campy Daytona group worked well.
I know, should have taken drive side pictures, but I took these after the ride, and I was too cold to think straight.

I would love to try one of these. I love my MAX Bianchi's but I wonder if I could really feel the difference in that lugged frame

Here is my 2004 Fuga. First two pics are on my commute yesterday. This bike feels smooth, quiet, fast and strong. Very fun to ride.

Today I first finished detailing the Dura Ace - 1991-2 Corsa Extra MAX.
Then changed tires on the MX Leader GAN. To Vittoria 28: s. There is 1,5mm space to the rear brake...
I also swapped the Brooks Team Pro for a Brooks Swift Ti. Tires feel nice and look good on this wine valley credit card tourer. The saddle not so much. I believe I am going to go back to Team Pro.

Well after 7 months with no Merckx (my previous Corsa Extra was stolen from my garage) I finally picked up a new one. Here is how I bought her, with a few changes coming soon.
