I was removing some old AC ducts and folding/compacting them to fit them in the dumpster. The stuff folds very easily and I was just using my foot/leg to do the work. I guess my foot must have slipped as I was pressing down (I don't recall feeling that at all though) and my knee felt everything inside it was mashing together. This knee has been significantly weakened since my incident two years ago but everything has been fine for the last year and a half considering I was working construction and on my feet for 8/10/12 hours a day so I thought nothing of it. Guess I was wrong!

Hit a 20' PB this morning on Fiesta Island, by 1 watt . Last record was set around this time last year.Really pleased with my mental fortitude over the second half. Even puked on my bibs a little bit as soon as a stopped pedaling, so it feels good to know that I made a 100% effort.

I realize this post belongs in a diff. sub forum, I just wanted to share because I'm proud of my accomplishment.

You need to repurpose one of those old glass soda syphons for your clear grease.

Last week I used some of that clear grease for the hinges on my garage door. I STILL couldn't see how much I used.

Just finished (literally) doing some pedals with the Motorex. That stuff rocks. Stays put.

I think it is a rule that you can't say you puked without telling us the color.

Today I did an out and back paceline ride with roadies on the Silver Comet Trail. They were all on matte black carbon Di2 bikes with ENVE 50's. I was on my chrome Pista with 48x15 gearing.

The ride is 15 miles out, rest three minutes at the turnaround and then 15 miles back. The rules are 1) keep up, 2) don't be a jerk.

I kept up, and even jumped from the line to the front when the man on point let the pace drop. It hurt but was fun and the guy on point said some bad words as I went by.

Pretty sure I wasn't a jerk. I didn't puke but probably should have.

30.3 miles at 21.7 MPH.

+1, all those early-season miles seem to be paying off.

Also on-topic, I've felt like I was about to puke on a couple commutes recently. Between studded tires, a pannier, headwinds, and a slight rise on a busy stretch of road near work, I'm giving it all I can to keep up and not get squished.

Commuting is the most sublime types of riding.

No matter how cold/wet/congested the roads were there was always an indescribable satisfaction of getting to work, cooling down and knowing that I rode a bike to my job.

There are people all over the world who ride bikes to work and for work. I think these are some of the toughest riders there are and my hat is off to you [MENTION=251447]ThermionicScott[/MENTION].

35 miles on the Litespeed today. Love the Ti frame, but think I need to change out the bars. Cinelli Criteriums on there now, feels too aggro.

Thanks! It's rare that I find the will power to do something like that, so I'm happy with the effort.

I typically test monthly from October through about now, and in the earlier parts of the season it's easier because I'm getting stronger after a lazy late summer/fall and seeing bigger numbers is fun. When I start to plateau and fight for marginal gains it's not so fun. Doubt I'll test again in the next 6 months.

Today I finally fixed a creaking issue I created by cutting my fork slightly too short and not having quite enough room for the stem to clamp down to.

Installed a Cane Creek 40 series shorty headset and all is good in the cockpit again. Smooth as butter with no funny noises

I need diagnose a small creak on my Steamroller. It's slight, and only when I really mash on the pedals.

I had a similar issue awhile back that was the result of a loose chainring bolt.

In case you didn't already know...that is a '92 which originally came with bar-cons, & mostly Tri-color bits, except for Dia-compe brakes. I have a yellow '93, which was B'stone's initial foray into STI, that I love so much that I intend to hang onto until someone pries it from my cold dead hands.

If, by any chance, you'd be interested building your new frame with any vintage '93ish OEM parts, I accumulated more than a few that I've been hoarding as back-ups in case anything ever craps-out on mine, which it seems unlikely that I'll ever need after all - let me know, I'll try to be fair.

I've definitely pored over those old Bridgestone catalogs, great stuff in there.

I don't really need any parts, except maybe a front derailleur or some wheels, presuming they can fit a ten speed cassette. I've amassed an entire bike's worth of spare parts over the last couple of years, finally found the right frame to hang them on. A mixture of 8 speed XT ders, 10 speed XT cassette + chain, 10 speed DA barends mounted on Thumbies, and a swoopy Sim-Works bar.
