ISO Long Steerer Tube Fork - 8 5/8, 218mm Steerer
Got this Gitane TDF that's pretty beat up and want to build it up as a single speed for my kid. The fork is cracked at the top, someone tightened a quill too high.
This one is 531 (fourreaux de fourche et arrieres) and can be reused for a 7" or less steerer - the tubing is fine below that
Would be willing to trade this one or other items you may be looking for. Functional and cheap is more important than appearance and pedigree. English or French

ISO - Friction thumb shifters, Shimano or Suntour preferably.
Bullmoose handlebar, quill stem. Turns out traditional 1-inch quill stems don't work with this bike, so nevermind on that
Scored a mid-90s Trek 850 this weekend, want to do a quasi-retro build on it for a commuter/bikepacking rig. There's some inexpensive retro thumb shifters on the bay but figured I'd look here first.

Thank you for this suggestion.In this model of pump there is no fastener to affix the cup to the shaft.The end of the shaft has a plastic barb which is crimped in place.The cup snaps over this plastic barb.I could try a rubber cup but suspect it might be too flexible to remain in place during use.The plastic one which comes with the pump is fairly brittle so as to snap into its seat.The brittleness is the need for a replacement as it has crumbled with age.-----

Thank you for the response & idea.
Are you asking about using a replacement cup for another model as suggested above?
The hole in the centre of the cup is quite small. By eye, it appears no more than four mm.
I appreciate that the cup from another model may be just right in O.D.
The seat on the barb for the back side of the cup is quite small since the cup is fairly rigid. The plastic material of which it is moulded is only slightly more flexible than styrene.
If I wanted to use the replacement cup shown above would need a washer behind and in front in order to hope to get a seal. There is not enough vertical space on the shaft of the barb between the seat and the knob/lobe which the cup snaps over.
As I think about this I wonder if any NOS OEM cup i might find would likely be too crumbly with age to use...

1942 CCM Rambler cranks
I Recently got a 1942 rambler, identified by the one remaining pedal being wood. its been in a barn for 65 years. The Problem is the second pedal is gone and evidence of a broken crank repaired by brass brazing (dang resourceful farmers). So I need a replacement crank set and pedals! Any and all information and resources welcome, Thanks in advance!

Who would have thought that getting a simple bottom bracket would be so hard? I have need of an English/ISO/JIS threaded, double bottom bracket. I'm not a fan of cartridges. Need fixed and adjustable cups, the lockring and a spindle that receives bolt. (the whole thing). It's going on a pretty nice bike, so the condition of the surfaces that contact the bearings does matter.
Also am looking for bar-end shifters - either the whole front/rear setup, or, if you have a set of the SunTour levers floating around, I do have the pieces that insert in the ends of the handlebars. I have a set of Shimano 600 and a set of DuraAce levers, and they don't work quite right.
I have a bunch of Sunshine hubs/shells, skewers, derailleurs, a few cranksets, shorty fenders, and an eclectic assortment of odds and ends to trade - as well as the aforementioned shift levers.
Also am looking for bar-end shifters - either the whole front/rear setup, or, if you have a set of the SunTour levers floating around, I do have the pieces that insert in the ends of the handlebars. I have a set of Shimano 600 and a set of DuraAce levers, and they don't work quite right.

It's a Shimano 600, double. It's either Arabesque, or otherwise stylized. Going on my wife's (I think '75 - the serial number has a mark on it and not sure if it's '73 or '75) International. Have had a couple responses in PMs, nothing final yet.

VeloBase reports that a 116mm spindle is what you need with a Shimano 600 Arabesque crankset. I can check to see if that's what I have.
