Campy Record pedals?
Anyone have any experience with Campy Record ProFit plus Pedals? Are they worth the money? I don’t mind spending fair money on a good set of pedals. Just would love your thoughts...

They're fussy to get into, heavier than Look Keo cleat pedals and the cleats wear out pretty quick as compared to genuine Look Keo cleats. Let me put it to you this way; I have a Campagnolo tattoo and I won't ride them

Cleat replacements are pretty pricey. the plastic (normal) triangular cleat, and then they want you to buy a new engaging hook with each new cleat change. i used to buy those like once every 2 or 3 changes. ($25 + $35)

I’ve had Campy Pro Fit pedals for close to 15 years. They have a very stable platform, solid cleat engagement and a float which works well for me. The cleats tend to wear on the disengagement side at the front where they contact against the pavement at a stop but I have been able to get more than a season out of them before having to switch; the metal hook hardware lasts forever. The bearings on my pedals spin just like they did when new and will probably outlive me. It may not be the lightest or cheapest but it’s definitely a quality pedal in the best tradition of Campy.

Nice looking pedals, but I’d be concerned about finding cleats down the road. Are they still making Pro-Fits? Once upon a time I would’ve considered them to complete an all-Campag bike, but I went with Ultegra SPD-SLs instead. >50,000 miles later, no regrets.

I have had two sets and they are completely reliable. Don't listen to the bull**** from some of these haters. They are the perfect compliment to a classic build with a Campy group.
Close to two years now on this bike and still using the original cleats.

Tell me how you really feel haha. Thanks for input. I’m just trying to justify the price.
