BItD, that was a common approach for single ring cyclocross bikes. This was a fancy bike, a lot of guys would take worn out chainrings and grind off the teeth. This one was done professionally.

Mid-range Bianchi, I think, with aftermarket parts including an Ultegra group.. Very basic research (why did Bianchi change their model names so much?) says this was the cheapest of the Italian-made Bianchis of the 80s, making it a solid mid-range model in their lineup.
Mainly posting because I love any Bianchi in this particular color, even more than celeste.

Up for sale is a Pink Bianchi Squadra. This has been a great bike, and it still runs great. The wheels were hand built by the previous owner, and still run smooth and fast. It’s equipped with 9-speed Shimano Ultegra, and comes with everything pictured except the bar tape, which will be replaced due to it missing a piece on one side. The frame itself is Columbus tubbing, and is OG made in Italy. I’ve personally only used it less than a year, and was hardly used when I bought it. I’ve since moved, and It’s just been sitting around. If interested you can call, or text me at,

they are great bikes, we sold a bunch of them and that color scheme was fabulous.
Full ChroMoly frame/fork (Tange Infinity) with an RX 100 triple group. These were fabulous sport touring bikes.

'83 Diamondback. Not sure on my dates but this was almost certainly one of the first mass-production MTBs after the Stumpy (either this or the Univega Alpina was next, IIRC)
Those striped lugs are unusually ornate for a MTB- almost looks like a French bike with the colors and detailing.
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...181225709.html
vintage mtb in good shape and good working condition. this was diamondbacks first mtb model and came with some nice features such as sealed bearing suzue hubs, sealed bb, bullmoose bars, lugged frame with pin striping details around the lugs and suntour superbe rear derailer. the seat tube measures 18" and would probably be a good fit for someone 5'6" and up approximately. shoot me an email and we can exchange numbers and come by for a test ride. thanks.

Bertoni Vitus 979 in Mechanicsville, Va for $440. Seller calls it's condition "good" and it looks better than good to me
Per ad: 1988 Bertoni Vitus 979 large aluminum tube and lug road bike. This is a late 80s light weight compact race bike. Index shift 7-speed down tube Shimano 600 Sante’ components (just as rare as the frame) that shift flawless. Mavic MA 40 rims run true and straight on smooth free spinning hubs. It has new bar tape and chain with less than 100 miles. Tires have less than 200 miles. It has been well ridden and well maintained since I have had it: 20+ miles on 4th of July out of Hanover Courthouse. Measurements Top tube 56 cm Seat tube height 56.6 cm Stem 115 mm Wheelbase 98 cm Crank arm 168 mm Bike is a fun retro ride with many miles left. Keep it as is or upgrade to more modern drivetrain. It is a fun bike

I see it as more of a trophy bike over a rider so not sure if I can justify buying it. At the moment, I'm waiting it out and maybe it will sell so I'm no longer tempted.

For a minute, I thought the front blackburn rack was actually attached in some weird way, but it appears to just be draped on the bike for illustrative purposes. Only one (NDS) photo.
