1985 Trek 460 w/ Campagnolo Victory Parts worth C$350?
Hi, I'm just trying to get some additional opinions on this bike. It seems to have a decent set of parts on it, and I've always been a fan of 80s Trek frames, but there are some things that I'm skeptical about. The frame is T1, which I've never tried, and the crankset seems to have been drilled through. Is this worth 350?

No. More like 150.00. That era of Trek frames are all very nice, but there are LOTS of them out there to be had. It's well used and no longer original. Victory was below Athena. Like "sport level" campy. I like the painted flutes on the seatpost, but the guy did a shaky job. 150.00 would be the "after making an offer" price that I'd actually pay, if I needed or wanted it.

Depends where in Canada. Many of the big cities have really high prices. In Toronto, that is probably cheap.

I've never seen drilled rings on Triomphe or, in this case, Victory. I can't say that I like it. And, unfortunately, the rear derailleur is Triomphe, not Victory.

Also, that appears to be an '85 410, not a 460. The 410 is Trek's entry level sport tourer for '85 and came with all Campy Triomphe. Looks like that's what you've got here. Never been a big fan of the True Temper Trek frames, either. They ride a little harsh compared to Reynolds, in my opinion. I'd pass on this one, if you've got other options.

I csn't tell from the pics, but if this bike came with the stamped steel fork crown that was known to crack apart, it could affect it's market value, drastically.....Yes, Trek's own "death fork"....
Track also had some problems with their cast seat lugs, but I don't remember the details on those.....

I had an ‘85 Trek 460. Rode it for 9 years and did a century on it. It’s an entry level racer. Nice bike. They came with the Suntour Cyclone S, a very responsive RD.
I sold it in 2014 for 260.00 keeping in mind I kept it in a good state of tune.
