Beginner - Cheap spin bike setup for zwift
Hi all,
I'm very new to this and the more research I do the more confused I get!
I'm looking to buy an indoor stationary bike / spin bike, and am trying to find the cheapest way to do this so i can connect to zwift. This will be mostly for enjoyment / engagement whilst I ride, nothing too serious, at least while I get started!
I see power meters, cadence sensors, smart bikes etc but wondering what the cheapest possible solution is to at least get me started, with a view to upgrading later on.
I don't currently have an actual bike so turbo trainers etc would not work for me.
Any help greatly appreciated as Id like to get started as soon as possible! Best budget options?

You need a speed sensor that will talk to a computer. Either bluetooth or ant+ will work. I assume you are going to have to add this to an exercise bike. Look up "zwift virtual power" and there are a lot of people that have explained it.

I use a Bancon A5-S and like it. Not a smart spin bike so it won't respond to changes in the Zwift terrain, but connects well to Zwift and gives you cadence and power readings. Unlike a wheel-on trainer, you can use it to race in Zwift. I wrote a review on Amazon which is usually at the top (titled "Surprisingly good Zwift machine for the money") if you want a more in-depth opinion.

umm, I might soon have a Kurt Kinetic that would suit your purposes (With an InRide accessory to transmit power, sort of....)
Unless you happen to be in the Twin Cities, I doubt that it's worth the shipping costs, though.
