I purchased this bike to sell due to its unique stance. Over all it is in remarkable condition. All original components, new cables 17.5 inch frame 24 inch front tire 700x23 rear.what do you think this bike could reasonably bring. It is for riders 5ft 4 and under.

...the "Sport" designation on Bianchi bicycles was given to the ones at the lower end of the pricing scheme. That said, I imagine that this bicycle would market well to smaller women looking for a road bike. That's supposedly what the smaller front wheeled frames were originally marketed as. It is a Bianchi, so even the least expensive ones were of reasonable quality. I'm sorry, but I have no idea of the marketplace values where you reside. They vary from place to place. $200-250 maybe ?

...also, in the pictures you take for sales ads, lower the saddle, and maybe get rid of that tall stem. The bike has been modified from the original configuration, probably so a taller person could ride it. Your preferred market is short people. Tires look iffy, which will lower value.

The vintage bike market is " soft" right now..
Who knows if it will ever recover ???
It's a very unique bike, so the buyer for this will be few.
I would say $ 100- 125.00
Location matters quite a bit as mentioned above.
Maybe put on eBay ????

Nice small bike great color, but it's small down tube shifter bike which are a hard sell in nearly any market most women and men find this set up fairly awkward. So really only $150 or so nearly anything but the not so great DT shifters would help.

Pretty bike. Without knowing the frame tubing and other details, I guess at the co-op here in Phoenix we would price it around $300 and probably get $275 after putting new tires and bar tape on it.

The Sport SX generally fell in at the top of Bianchi's "Sport" series (which oddly also caontained every roiad bike below it) or the bottom bike in the Performance Series. It was ususally positioned just below the Campione De Italia in the over all line up. We sold them to people who were looking for a solid basic bike for exercise, fast group rides and even a budget minded budding racer or triathlete. My first real bike was a '87 Sport SX and I did everything with it. I did training rides, fast group rides, training races, commuting, charity rides and eventually modified it and tried Cyclocross. IMHO the Sport SX was a great all around value.

May seem odd but if your bike coup has a set of bar ends, nice working stem shifters yuck or 7/8 brifter's you could add $100 to $150 to the bikes value.

As to value? I often see these "Terry Style" bikes on Marketplace and Craigslist but they don't seem to be selling well. Whatever you paid for it is likely the value for your area.

My personal opinion is the “Terry” style bike limits your audience. $225 +/- $50 is my best guess.

FWIW That is a fabulous bike. I really like the '87 Sport SX and if I found another in my size I'd buy it. THe Suntour Alpha 5000 kit worked really well and that Tange frame rode very well.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
