Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What size end caps for Giant PR2 wheels

Picked up a Fuji Cross 1.3 as a spare bike…and I want to use my Giant PR2 wheels because they are tubeless. What size spacers do I need for the front wheel?

Spacers?

Older and/or less expensive disc bikes may have come with quick release (QR) drop-outs, rather than the 12mm thru-axels that are common now. There are/were also some bikes, primarily gravel and cross, that came with forks took 15mm TAs. If your PR2s don't fit as-is, you'll need to see if Giant provides the necessary end caps to swap out to one of those two formats. If Giant doesn't, maybe the hub OEM does, but that'll take a little bit of leg work.

My PR2 wheels are 12x100 thru axle(front). I used the spacer caps(or whatever they’re called) from them for another set of wheels I bought used. Now I want to use the PR2s for the Fuji and I don’t have the correct caps

Okay, that's what I thought you were referring to. Anyway, they're typically going to be specific to the hubs, not generic. You'll have to contact Giant or do a search for some spares specific to your wheelset.

edit: that's if the Fuji fork also takes 12mm TAs, of course.

Giant PR2 wheels have gone through several manufacturers, but Giant kept the same PR2 name. End caps for 1 set of PR2 wheels may not fit another.

Best to take your wheels to a bike shop that sells Giant and hope for the best. Good Luck.
