I couldn’t resist this Cilo

But, I probably should’ve. I keep telling myself it will be a decent rider. Not sure yet where I’m going with it but I got a good package deal with 2 sets of Campy wheels and spare parts.

I saw that one too. Looks great, plus it’s a brand you don’t see often

I love Cilos. There is something about them that they just ride so un-racy (in a good way)

Nice score!

Could someone illustrate the correct pronunciation of Cilo? Thanks.

SEE-low. At least that's how it was pronounced by the distributor, Rick Carter of Security Bicycle Associates.. Prior to that, I had always pronounced it CHEE-low, in the Italian fashion. It's a hard habit to break and unless I think about it, I revert to the incorrect version.

Waiting on a Valentino rear derailleur and some Panaracer Pasela tires I thought I’d mess around with a different build. I kinda like the setup.

as you work with it you might wish to keep an eye out for a tubing hallmark

possible it might be something like three-tube 531 plain gauge - the Cilo parallel to the Raleigh Super Course of the same era

a saddle pillar size of 26.2mm would be indicative of this

one thing found striking is how shallow the seat tube be as compared with the head...

let us know if shell be metric or CH
is there a serial marked on the upper surface of the NDS?

HS may be an EDCO product, their manufacture of cycle fittings goes back to about the first decade of the last century

pedals appear to be Lyotard model 460A

lug pattern looks to be BOCAMA 31/I
seat lug BOCAMA pattern H/I
fork crown VAGNER PL
pump peg NERVEX Ref. 845

when you repack HS it shall afford an opportunity to examine steerer for marking(s)

when you repack BB you will be able to see the interiors of four tubes to check for seams

best wishes with the project.
