Trek Checkpoint sizing question.
I usually ride a 60cm bike but have a chance on a barely used Checkpoint ALR 5 in 58 for a good price. I'm 6'1 with a 33inch inseam which is within the 58cm sizing range. How will the 58 feel different from a 62 which is their next size up? Perhaps a slightly higher seat position needed? Should fit well enough to drive 2 hours to find out wouldn't you think?

Ignore stated frame size and compare the stack and reach of your current bike(s) to the Trek that is for sale.
A frame being 58 or a 60 is of little value when the actual geometry can be totally different for both. Heck, you could fit this 58 better than many random 60s from various brands.

I’m your height but with 34 inch inseam. A 58 or 56 more aggressive Checkpoint fit me. A 60 is too big. From my test rides a couple years ago.

6’ here with 32” inseam. I ride a 56cm Checkpoint. 58 would be too big for me. To answer your question: yes, it should be worth a 2 hour drive.

Turned out to be a burned run. I asked specifically about scratches or marks of any kind on the fork since I am overly cautious of carbon anyway. I was assured there wasn't a scratch on it. I drove 1.5 hours only to learn the seller was an idiot. The fork was scratched up pretty severely on one side. Apparently, it had happened in his shed somehow and he never even bothered to check it when I asked. It may have been fine, but it would have always bothered me if I had bought it. Size was good.

If you don't have stack/reach info for the bike you have vs the bike you're looking at, compare these three things: effective top tube, seat tube angle and head tube length. Head tube angle also can affect fit, but very minor to the others.
Handling will also be affected by other factors, but those above will tell you whether you can get the fit close to what you're looking for.
