Fitting full mudguards with disc brakes
Hello, I searched the forums but couldn't find a definitive answer to this query.
I would like to get a set of sks mudguards for my MTB which i commute to work on. I have slick 26" by 1.95" tires and front suspension. I have disc brakes and I can't see how I would attach the mudguard support rods because the brake caliper is in the way. Is this a case of fiddling and doing some modifying to get them to fit?

Something like this may help. However, since you have suspension, you may have issues with the center eyelet.
As stated above, some massaging may be necessary. You may have to be creative.
Best of luck.

Another option is to use some form of "extender" bolts that screw into the eyelets and then have a rod that extends maybe an inch out, which in turn has a threaded hole for the screw. I don't know if anything like that exists, though...

Username jeff-o has standoffs just like that. Even though I'm doing the bendy stay thing, I'm still pondering hitting him up for a couple.

hey thanks for all the replies guys and gals. I thought it might require a bit of fiddling to get it right, but now I know :-) I will have a go at bending the stays. I think i was typing mudguards into the search engine and not fenders. I will have a go with a set of sks fenders I think. Thanks
