It was posted on craigslist for $250 which I think is a little steep, but I can't seem to find out what year this model is. I've narrowed it down to the 80's but that's about it.

$250 is a reasonable price for this bike, assuming it is ready to ride. If it is what you are looking for, I would go for it.
Explain why you think $250 is steep/

I thought a more reasonable price would be like $200 since this schwinn is about a mid range model, but if it's in perfect condition then I wouldn't mind paying $250 if it fits me. I just can't figure out what year it's from. The seller just said 1980's.

I've got the same bike, mine's an '87. $250 is quite low. It's got full Shimano 600, the wheels on the bike in question are not the originals nor is the seat. But $250 is a deal. Great riding bike.

Thank you guys for the input, I ended up buying a 2000 Lemond Zurich since it was the better deal as well as the better fit.
Wouldn't the non-original wheels devalue the bike a good amount?

Now if it was some rare, unique, highly collectible bike, it could matter. But not on a nice Supersport.
